INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINEESS

"HAPPINESS FOR ALL, FOREVER"

Location: Orphange Home in Jos, Plateau State.

The theme of International Day of Happiness was “Happiness For All, Forever” which implies the significance of happiness for people all over the world. The General Assembly of the United Nations in its resolution 66/281 of 12 July 2012 proclaimed 20 March the International Day of Happiness recognizing the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.

Following this, Universal Peace and Violence Amelioration Centre (UPVAC) was ableto reach out to an Orphange home in Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria on the International Day of Happiness to put smile on the faces of the orphans.

Activities involved organizing games for the children, cutting and washing their hairs, provision of food items and other non-food items.
